Advance Agenda Now Available for 2018 National Cleanup Workshop

   An advance agenda is now available for the 2018 National Cleanup Workshop, scheduled to be held on Sept. 11-13, 2018 at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center in Alexandria, Virginia. The workshop is hosted by the Energy Communities Alliance with the cooperation of EM and the Energy Facility Contractors Group.
   Scheduled sessions at this year’s workshop include:

  • Driving High Performance in DOE Missions;
  • Ensuring Continued Progress at EM Sites;
  • Making Progress on Excess Facilities Disposition;
  • Moving Forward on Contract Management Enhancements;

   The 2018 National Cleanup Workshop will bring together senior DOE executives and site officials, industry executives, and other stakeholders to discuss EM’s progress on the cleanup of the environmental legacy of the nation’s Manhattan Project and Cold War nuclear weapons program. 
   More than 650 attendees, including senior DOE Officials, Congressional leaders, DOE contractors, and state, Tribal and local government leaders, participated in the 2017 workshop — the largest EM-focused gathering in the D.C. area last year.
