Russian Generation III+ VVER Begins Commercial Operation Ahead Of Schedule :: The Independent Global Nuclear News Agency: Unit 2 at the Novovoronezh 2 nuclear power station in southwest Russia has begun commercial operation 30 days ahead of schedule, state nuclear operator Rosenergoatom said.
Rosenergoatom said the Generation III+ VVER-1200 unit received final approval for operation from national nuclear regulator Rostechnadzor on 31 October.
