U.S. Senate confirms Dan Brouillette to be Secretary of Energy Yesterday, by a vote of 70-15 the U.S. Senate confirmed Dan Brouillette to become the 15th Secretary of the Department of Energy. Prior to his confirmation, Brouillette served as the Deputy Secretary of Energy under then Secretary Rick Perry.
