ANS Nuclear Policy Wire February 3, 2021 Senate Energy Committee Approves Granholm's Nomination Today the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee approved the nomination of Jennifer Granholm to be Secretary of Energy by a vote of 13-4. Granholm's nomination will now move to a full Senate consideration. A date for Senate consideration has not yet been determined. Immediately following the approval of Granholm's nomination, the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee held a hearing to examine global climate trends and progress in addressing climate change.
