UAE is praised for transparency in nuclear energy program
Countries pursuing nuclear power should emulate the United Arab Emirates, which has been transparent about its nuclear program, said Dale Klein, a former chairman of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission who is now associate director of the University of Texas' Energy Institute. "The United Arab Emirates has been very good at explaining to the public what nuclear means, why it's important for the country and what steps it's taking," Klein said.
