Entergy works at bolstering safety at Mich. plant

Entergy is working aggressively to improve safety at its Palisades nuclear plant in Michigan, following indications that the facility wasn't meeting its own standards, writes Anthony Vitale, site vice president. To address this, Entergy has created a comprehensive plan to improve overall operations at the plant. "We consider it a privilege to generate electricity in southwest Michigan and we take the trust of our neighbors very seriously. That's why our unrelenting focus is on returning Palisades to the highest levels of safety and reliability," Vitale writes. MLive.com (Michigan) (free registration) (8/3)
