House GOP wants probe into funding for Yucca nuclear storage
A pair
of House Republicans have asked the Government Accountability Office to
look into whether the Energy Department could resume work on the stalled
Yucca Mountain used nuclear fuel repository in Nevada. House Energy and
Commerce Committee Chairman Fred Upton, R-Mich., and Rep. John Shimkus,
R-Ill., made the request of the office, in which they also asked
whether Congress should set aside further funding for the project's
license application. The Examiner (Washington, D.C.)http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/house-gop-wants-probe-into-funding-for-yucca-nuclear-storage/article/2584547
