With Fukushima’s fifth anniversary approaching, we can probably start to relax about radioactive seafood



Nearly five years after the Fukushima Daiichi incident, the fish in Japan aren't likely to be contaminated, according to a report published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. Radioactive material has been leaking from the site, but contamination levels have declined faster than once believed, said lead researcher Hiroshi Okamura with the National Research Institute of Fisheries Science in Japan.
