* Nuclear project secures license from China's State Council
China's State Council has approved the construction of the Haiyang nuclear power facility in Shandong province, the Assets Supervision and Administration Commission said. The first phase of the project involves building two reactors that will use the AP1000 third-generation technology from U.S. firm Westinghouse Electric, the agency said.
