- India seeks construction of 20 more reactors
India will start up the Kudankulam nuclear plant in the next eight weeks, according to a report. The $2.6 billion Kudankulam project is expected to provide about 1,000 megawatts of electricity. India also plans to construct an additional 20 reactors in several parts of the country, according to Nuclear Power Corp. of India. International Business Times
