Westinghouse exec says industry still learning from Japan incident
The
nuclear industry continues to study the lessons learned from the
Fukushima Daiichi incident in Japan, said Tim Collier, vice president
and managing director of Westinghouse China. The industry welcomes
further oversight and interest in its operations following the incident,
and it is responding to the challenges of improving its transparency
and accessibility to government officials and the public. "As more
lessons are learned, we expect to build on the existing design features
to make the design even safer," Collier said. China Daily (Beijing)
