After Decades Of Doubt, Deregulation Delivers Lower Electricity Prices Forbes
Today, the cost of generating electrons currently accounts for less than half of the price of electricity, according to the Edison Electric Institute.
The price consumers pay for electricity has increased as a result of the rising cost of poles and wires, which account for more than half of the typical residential customer’s monthly electric bill.
