On
December 12, 2013, the US Department of Energy (DOE) announced
theselection of NuScale as the winner of the second round of funding
under the Department of Energy Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA).
That announcement, which had been due since sometime in September,
must have been quite welcome to a lot of really talented and dedicated
people in Portland and Corvallis, Oregon.
