Exciting Changes Ahead for Nuclear Advocacy!
The
nuclear energy industry faces a challenging and transformative period.
Our efforts must be twofold: We must ensure policymakers recognize the
value of existing plants in deregulated markets, as well as advocate for
new nuclear technologies to be efficiently reviewed and brought to
market. As a network of over 10,000 advocates, we carry out our goals
through public outreach, legislative and policymaker advocacy, and,
increasingly, through digital advocacy.
With this in mind, NAN will join the Nuclear Matters coalition on Dec. 1.
Nuclear energy’s leading advocacy groups (NAN, CASEnergy Coalition and
Nuclear Matters) will come together and become a single, broad-based,
multifunctional entity to leverage a diverse community of advocates and
advance policies favorable to nuclear energy.
Correspondence and action alerts from NAN will cease as of Dec. 1, when Nuclear Matters will become the hub for nuclear advocacy news and information.
