OPPD: Fort Calhoun nuclear plant waste safe from floodwaters | SmartBrief: The Omaha Public Power District said that nuclear waste at the former Fort Calhoun nuclear plant in Nebraska is safe from Missouri River flooding. Artificial barriers and sandbags are protecting the remaining parts of the plant, OPPD said.
