Ginna Nuclear Power Plant testing sirens on May 5 | WHAM: (WHAM) - The R. E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant in Ontario, Wayne County will be sounding its sirens as a test on May 5. The plant, owned by Exelon Generation, will test the public notification system between 9:30 a. m. and 10 a. m. using the sirens. There are 96 sirens in the 10-mile radius surrounding the plant. Each siren will be tested for 3-5 minutes.
