Rolls-Royce Wins ‘Significant’ Contract For Loviisa Nuclear Station :: The Independent Global Nuclear News Agency: UK engineering company Rolls-Royce has been awarded a “significant contract” by Finland utility Fortum to perform the partial renewal of the engineered safety features actuation system (Esfas) functions at Fortum’s Loviisa nuclear power station.
Esfas is a critical safety nuclear instrumentation & control (I&C) system which automatically manages safety features such as the isolation of main steam lines, main feedwater and emergency feedwater.
