Smoke Forces Japan Plant Workers to Pull Back
Smoke drifting from the No. 3 and No. 2 reactors at Japan's Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant on Monday forced personnel to temporarily suspend a marathon effort to provide electricity to key cooling mechanisms at the severely damaged facility, the Associated Press reported (see GSN, March 18).
