The US Congress and White House are on the same page but not to advance nuclear power. I will get more enemies? After being in nuclear power since 1963, including representing the United States at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) I know the enemies of nuclear power & the freedoms of American citizens. They are the ones who think nothing of hurting 313 million americans like the US Congress, NRC and White House did in shutting down Yucca Mountain. The DOD has a need for secure nuclear power for its bases. However the DOD is unable to do what is required alone. The various bases must work with the current local utility, other government entitities, the county or counties they are located in along with first responders and critical infrastructure to create a local smart distributed energy system, which includes storage to accommodate every possible energy source working together.
