NRC panel to hold hearing on post-Fukushima Daiichi orders
The
Nuclear Regulatory Commission's Atomic Safety and Licensing Board has
agreed to a Massachusetts group's request to hold a hearing about two
orders the agency issued in the aftermath of the Fukushima Daiichi
incident in Japan. The group, which opposes Entergy's Pilgrim nuclear
plant, claims that the NRC orders fail to apply new safety measures to
prevent problems like those that occurred in the Fukushima incident. The Boston Globe/The Associated Press
