Canada's Candu Energy and the U.K. Nuclear Decommissioning Authority are studying the development of new reactors in the U.K. that would operate on mixed oxide fuel. "Candu technology is well-suited to deliver a timely and cost effective disposition of UK fissile material stocks based on proven design," said Ala Alizadeh, Candu Energy's senior vice president, marketing and business development.
