The UN nuclear weapons ban negotiations begin on June 15th.

On March 27, 2017, a majority of the world’s nations gathered at the United Nations headquarters in New York City and began historic negotiations on a treaty to ban nuclear weapons. Talks resume on Thursday, June 15th, at the UN headquarters, and many observers expect a treaty to be adopted before the negotiations end on July 7th. The Bulletin has been posting excellent opinion and analysis on the ban and whether it will help or hurt the disarmament cause. Read on for what you need to know.
