Jiangsu Cable Group Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research and Design Institute (SNERDI) and other units jointly announced this week the development of the third generation AP1000 containment cable achievements. The president of SNERDI, Zheng Mingguang and his vice president, Gu Guoxing attended the meeting.

The Cable for AP1000 containment was firstly developed internationally, including medium voltage power, low-voltage power, control and instrumentation cables and other series.
The new cables domestically designed include major innovations: resistance to nuclear environment, high electrical performance, insulation and sheathing material improvements
The cables were designed for 60-year life and accelerated thermal aging test, and high parameter LOCA
The SNERDI will further optimize the technical standards and technical specifications, for future development, and meet the needs of industrial development.
