WINS workshop announcement - Nuclear Material Control and Accountancy in Support of Nuclear Security

We are delighted to inform you that WINS is organising an International Best Practice Workshop on Nuclear Material Control and Accountancy in Support of
Nuclear Security which will take place in Vienna, Austria, on
June 16-17, 2015 and that registration is now open for this event.
The
workshop will provide participants, amongst others, with the
opportunity to review the essential roles of nuclear material control
(NMC) and nuclear material accountancy (NMA) in nuclear security,
to assess the contribution of MC&A measures to nuclear security at
each stage of the life cycle of a facility, and to discuss opportunities
for mitigating insider threats through material control and material
accountancy. Participants will go through case
studies of unauthorised removal scenarios in bulk handling and item
facilities and will also benefit from lessons learned from other
sectors.
The
workshop will be held in English and will draw only on unclassified
information. In line with WINS’ innovative approach to Best Practice
Workshops, this event will be interactive and professionally
facilitated. More details can be found in the workshop announcement and
the preliminary programme attached to this email. Please note that
participation will be limited, so please let us know as soon as possible
