EnergySolutions takes over TMI-2 licence : Waste & Recycling - World Nuclear News: The US Nuclear Regulatory Commission has approved the transfer of unit 2 of the Three Mile Island nuclear power plant and the corresponding possession-only licence from FirstEnergy Corp subsidiaries GPU Nuclear, Metropolitan Edison Company, Jersey Central Power & Light Company, and Pennsylvania Electric Company to a subsidiary of EnergySolutions known as TMI-2 Solutions. In addition to the NRC approval, the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities has approved the sale of TMI-2 to TMI-2 Solutions.

Fuel Loading Begins At China-Supplied Kanupp-2 Reactor :: The Independent Global Nuclear News Agency: Fuel loading has begun at the China-supplied Kanupp-2 nuclear power plant under construction in southern Pakistan with commercial operation scheduled for April 2021, local press reports said.

The reports quoted a spokesperson for the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission as saying fuel loading for the HPR1000, or Hualong One plant, began on Tuesday after a permit was issued.
