AeroVironment's profit soars 76%

Monrovia-based AeroVironment's earnings rise to $11.5 million, helped by an increase in sales of drones to the U.S. military.

EV Charging System Sales by AeroVironment Said Taking Off
AeroVironment said sales revenue for electric vehicle charging systems had soared to $12.7 million, with more than 1,000 systems installed in 18 states by the end of the company's third quarter, the Los Angeles Times reported today. AeroVironment CEO Timothy E. Conver was quoted as saying: "Our vision of the electric vehicle charging ecosystem has become a reality." The company also introduced home charging docks geared for Nissan Leaf batteries.
