Opec members quietly boost production

Opec members quietly boost production Several key Opec countries have joined Saudi Arabia in quietly boosting oil output in a collective effort to cool prices that are nearing $120 a barrel amid the escalating crisis in Libya.

Industry officials said that, when the full production increase materialised by the beginning of April, the move by Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates and Nigeria would almost close the hole left in the oil market by Libya.
