Abstract:
Mr. McCollum will discuss the history of TVA's nuclear program and steps TVA is taking in conjunction with other nuclear power plant operators to learn from events in Japan.  He will discuss similarities and critical differences between the afflicted Fukushima Dai-ichi plant and TVA's Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant, and he will describe steps TVA is taking to assure that lessons from the Japanese accident are thoroughly incorporated by TVA.
