***MEDIA ADVISORY*** Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee to Examine America’s Response to the Japanese Nuclear Power Plant Incident WASHINGTON, DC – The House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations, chaired by Rep. Cliff Stearns (R-FL), will hold a hearing on Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at 9:00 a.m. in room 2322 of the Rayburn House Office Building. The hearing is entitled, “The U.S. Government Response to the Nuclear Power Plant Incident in Japan.” This hearing will give subcommittee members the opportunity to receive an update regarding the nuclear incident in Japan related to last month’s tragic earthquake and tsunami and to discuss the current safety measures in place at U.S. nuclear energy plants.
