My comment: We are witnessing a farce among the self righteous.

Not to be continually contrarian but there is a serious debate as to the methods the UN used. They did do quite a narrowing of sources and *apparently* did exclude a lot of the on the ground investigating conducted by Ukrainian and Russian medical investigators. I would not be as glib as Monbiot was in accepting the figures as given to the exclusion of all other sources. This doesn't mean lining up with the nonsense from Greenpeace/NYAS but it does mean that one should question sources, which Monbiot does not do.
