Germany to Deliver Sixth Nuke-Capable Sub to Israel: Report
Germany is said to have finally approved delivery to Israel of a sixth Dolphin-class submarine that can potentially field nuclear-tipped missiles, Ynetnews reported on Monday (see GSN, July 29, 2010).German Defense Minister Thomas de Maiziere discussed the matter last week with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and defense chief Ehud Barak, according to the German magazine Der Spiegel.
