Analyst: Japan's nuclear industry is finished

At one level, it seems that a fierce political struggle is now developing over the future of nuclear energy in Japan. While the prime minister has outlined a non-nuclear vision for his country, the opposition Liberal Democratic Party is moving toward a political position defending the need for Japan's nuclear power plants to remain in operation-albeit with stricter safety regulations.
