  1. Thanks for posting this, and best wishes for the new year! The equivalent of six 1000MW plants have been added via uprates in the US. The extra 521 MW (thermal) at Nine Mile Point brings the total power uprate approvals by NRC to 6194 MW (electrical) since 1977, according to the handy NRC page at http://www.nrc.gov/reactors/operating/licensing/power-uprates/status-power-apps/approved-applications.html
