New Photos Show Progress on Plant Vogtle Reactor Construction
Despite a lengthened schedule, significant progress is evident
at the construction site of two new Westinghouse AP1000 reactors at
Southern Co.'s Vogtle nuclear plant. The following photos, taken by
Southern in January and February, show the project's recently started
cooling tower, containment vessels, condensers, moisture separator
reheaters and other components. Early site preparation at the plant near
Augusta, Ga., began in 2009, and units 3 and 4 are scheduled to come
online in 2017 and 2018. View Pictures >>>> http://nuclearstreet.com/nuclear_power_industry_news/b/nuclear_power_news/archive/2013/03/06/new-photos-show-progress-on-plant-vogtle-reactor-construction.aspx
