Who’s who of Obama lobbyists pushes Keystone pipeline |
TransCanada, the company hoping to build the controversial Keystone XL
pipeline, and the Canadian province of Alberta have hired a who’s who of
lobbyists and communications professionals with links to the Obama
administration – and to John Kerry in particular. The Canadians hope their influence will lead the administration to approve the pipeline, which would transport oil from Alberta’s tar sands through the US to the Gulf of Mexico. “They have so much money to spend and they are clearly running an enormous and elaborate strategy that leaves no stone unturned,” said Rogan Kersh, a lobbying expert at Wake Forest University in North Carolina. http://link.ft.com/r/FG6LAA/ |
