What are we chatting about?
The
392 MW Ivanpah Solar Electric Generating System, in the Mojave Desert
northwest of Needles, will be the first large-scale solar thermal
project built in California in nearly two decades, and the largest of
its kind in the world.
Bechtel
is providing engineering, procurement, construction, and startup
services for plant owner Solar Partners, a partnership of BrightSource
Energy, NRG Energy and Google. The complex will consist of three
separate plants using BrightSource Energy’s Luz Power Tower (LPT)
technology. Ivanpah is scheduled to come online in 2013.
During #IvanpahChat
you will have the unique opportunity to go behind the scenes of the
Ivanpah Project with project managers Bechtel and your leading industry
