China has obtained new breakthrough on ACP100 small PWR

The Meeting on ACP100 Small PWR Passive Emergency Core Cooling Integrated Simulation was held on November 7th by Nuclear Power Institute of China. Lv Huaxiang, the vice president of CNNC attended the meeting. After a field test, experts reached an agreement on approval of this project.
The panel composed of the National Nuclear Safety Administration (NNSA), the Nuclear and Radiation Safety Center and CNNC has probed the state before the test, and agreed that the design method is reasonable for the research, and the equipment is qualified for the test.
