With MIT’s IAP session right around the corner, MITEI is pleased to announce a wide range of energy focused IAP 2014 activities.
IAP 2014 Mini-Grant Competition
The
MIT Energy Initiative (MITEI) announces the Energy Mini-Grant for IAP
2014. The grant program will award three grants, of up to $500 each, for
student or staff led energy-related activities to take place during IAP
2014.

(Co-sponsored by the MIT Energy Club, and the Sloan Sustainability Initiative)

Wind Technology Testing Center Tour (1/28/2014)

wonder how those spinning wind turbines are actually tested for safety?
Before a turbine can be deployed in Massachusetts, it must meet strict
international safety and design standards. Come join us for an exclusive
tour of the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center’s Wind Technology Testing
Center. In this tour, we will have the opportunity to see first-hand
the blade-testing wind room (that tests blades up to 90 meters in
length!), as well as to meet and ask questions of the center’s staff.
