Haiyang NPP AP1000 Unit 1 Succeeds in Dome Lifting
On December 15, after experiencing stressful one hour 51 minutes oflifting, moving, rotating, and a series of high-precision docking action, the world's first third-generation AP1000 automation projects, Haiyang nuclear power plant unit 1 constructed by China Nuclear Industry 24 Construction Co., Ltd. successfully complete dome lifting. It marks that most of the key nuclear components inside the island have been installed and will go into other parts of the installation and equipment commissioning part.
Top diameter of the round table-like dome is 21.5 meters and down diameter is 41.3 meters, with 10.95 meters high and 746.6 tons of weighing. The lifting condition of this hoisting has become the one with the biggest weight and the most complex one for Haiyang NPP by far. Haiyang NPP is the world’s first project that adopts AP1000 nuclear power technology and also China’s independent third-generation project contracted to be constructed by China Nuclear Industry 24 Construction Co., Ltd. At present, there is no domestic nuclear power plants have been built for reference.
