The renaissance of the US electrical infrastructure is entering wave 2.
Wave 1 started after the passage of the 2005 energy bill and then got a
shot in the arm from ARRA 2009. The majority of those projects have
either been completed or will be completed soon. But now with the
emergence of shale gas, coal plant retirements, and an increasing trend
toward renewables, the grid is about to enter into Wave 2 of it's
renaissance. There are no less than 50 large transmission projects in
various stages slated for completion in the 2019-2022 time frame
