Fukushima Daiichi Recovery: The Facts

The 2011 nuclear accident at Fukushima Daiichi resulted in the meltdown of three of the six reactor cores at the site and the release of radiation into the environment. Since then, Tokyo Electric Power Co., with the aid of the Japanese government and nongovernmental organizations, has been working to clean up the site and decommission the reactors.
