What is the status of ground contamination at the site?

TEPCO and Japanese government agencies continuously monitor the soil at the Fukushima Daiichi site, in nearby locales and throughout Japan. Japan’s Nuclear Regulation Authority administers a comprehensive radiation monitoring plan that includes soil, water and foodstuffs.
