Dear Friends:
I am
attempting to add, merge and purge several of our contact lists. The end
result of this effort is to create an inclusive list of EVERYBODY
interested in our grassroots educational mission advocating nuclear
energy technology. If this is an incorrect address you will
automatically be purged. If your personal interests do not want to
receive this type of educational information, please UNSUBSCRIBE. Thanks
for your assistance with this request.
We have
mentioned earlier that an excellent paper written by Lucjan Pypno is
the best paper we have seen explaining the communication process for
re-branding nuclear energy. You can participate from the grassroots, this is where we have to start from. Download it.

Is it time for the U.S. to consider a National above Ground Temporary SNF storage Facility?
Proceedings of an International Workshop (2005)
Authors: Glenn
E. Schweitzer and A. Chelsea Sharber, Editors, Committee on the
Scientific Aspects of an International Spent Fuel Repository in Russia,
Office for Central Europe and Eurasia, National Research Council,
Russian Academy of Sciences.
Description: As
part of a long-standing collaboration on nuclear nonproliferation, the
National Academy of Sciences and the Russian Academy of Sciences held a
joint workshop in Moscow in 2003 on the scientific aspects of an
international radioactive disposal site in Russia. The passage of
Russian laws permitting the importation and storage of high-level
radioactive material (primarily spent nuclear fuel from reactors) has
engendered interest from a number of foreign governments, including the
U.S., in exploring the possibility of transferring material to Russia on
a temporary or permanent basis. The workshop focused on the
environmental aspects of the general location and characteristics of a
possible storage site, transportation to and within the site, containers
for transportation and storage, inventory and accountability, audits
and inspections, and handling technologies. Direct link to this article

The public,
government and the nuclear industry should understand that "we all" have
to solve the issue of Spent Nuclear Fuel, (SNF).
- We have to effectively message the public and governments to understand that we cannot reach government CO2carbon emissions requirements WITHOUT including nuclear energy into our energy manufacturing.
- We
have to effectively message to the public that the WORLD is
building new nuclear power plants regardless of the U.S. current
position and regardless, we will need WORLD participation for SNF
resolution with future expansion.
- Science
has proven that our planet has an unlimited supply of Radium and
eventually Thorium to support nuclear energy as a renewable energy
source. We have to message this to our public, youth in our
educational institutions and re-brand nuclear power as a renewable energy source.
- It
is time the nuclear industry and its worldwide associations
develop a re-branding message painting a truthful, positive
representation teaching the success and advancement of nuclear
power.
- We,
at the grassroots portion of this equation, have to motivate the
industry and governments in this direction and drive towards
unity.
