Will
a secular environmentalism that values mosaic landscapes above pristine
ones, and leverages broad coalitions as opposed to a small set of
virtuous consumers, capture the romance and enthusiasm that gave birth
to the environmental movement? People will be drawn to an ecomodernism
when it combines a romantic love for nature with the pragmatic use of
technology and development, said a panel of experts at the Breakthrough
Dialogue.
