5 Reasons Nuclear Energy Is Vital to EPA’s Clean Power Plan
Sept. 3, 2015—The Environmental Protection Agency’s Clean Power Plan
requires power plants to cut carbon emissions by 32 percent below 2005
levels by 2030. That’s like taking 166 million cars, or 70 percent of
the nation’s passenger vehicles, off the road. It’s impossible to hit that target without nuclear energy playing a pivotal role.
