Advanced Reactor Technical Summit III
FEB 10-11, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, TN
USNEF
has been invited to address this important summit on 4th generation,
Small Modular Reactors, (SMRs) and molten salt reactor designs.
These are the players with advanced reactors.
With
all of the discussions about global warming and reducing carbon
emissions, nuclear is our largest carbon free energy provider worldwide
we have to mainstream and
educate our grassroots public.

Candidate Marco Rubio, a nuclear supporter, is picking up some hefty endorsements from his Senate and Congressional colleagues. As
we continue our nuclear advocacy messaging with candidates, Marco
Rubio, one of the supporters for completion of the Yucca Mountain
Repository Application Process is lining up some heavy hitters. This is
important as we have pointed out the growing number of candidates
re-visiting the need to advance nuclear technology for carbon free
energy. Another committed supporter, Carly Fiorina would be a great
advantage to an administration in the business context of the nuclear
industry which needs to re-brand itself as a green carbon free energy
source.

ADDED TO OUR OAK RIDGE PRESENTATION:
We
need to unify a consortium of advocacy groups and stakeholders to
develop standardized generic nuclear advocacy materials. Develop
chapters or affiliations with others nationwide. This can only be done
through participation by the industry, its associations and their
willingness to support independent outreach for the future of nuclear
technology with a paradigm shift through grassroots public policy.
Current discussions are taking place with:
President John Shanahan; http://www.go-nuclear.org/, also
Environmentalists for Nuclear Energy - USA. Their goals are global
public education about nuclear energy today, nuclear energy tomorrow (Gen IV), radioisotopes, (low dose) radiation.
Forward to your friends, nuclear technology needs
public policy support from an educated public.
