WINS at the IAEA Conference on Physical Protection

WINS Executive Director, Roger Howsley, made opening remarks as part of the Opening Plenary Session of the IAEA Conference on Physical Protection of Nuclear Material and Nuclear Facilities that took place in Vienna from 13-17 November 2017. During technical sessions, Dr. Howsley presented WINS research on "Nuclear and Aviation Security - A Comparative Analysis," and Ms. Rhonda Evans, Head of WINS Academy, presented on the "Implementation of INFCIRC 901: Promoting Certification, Quality Management and Sustainability of Nuclear Security Training." On 13 November, WINS organised a side event on Emerging Technologies to explore evolving threats and advanced technology and what it means for nuclear security. IBM Director for Innovation Business Development, Mitchell Free, provided the keynote speech.
