Problem with circulating pump shuts down Pilgrim - News - capecodtimes.com - Hyannis, MA: PLYMOUTH — With just two weeks more to run, Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station had to be shut down Friday due to problems with one of the plant’s circulating pumps.
The reactor has remained shut down since then while operators checked out the pump system. Monday morning, Patrick O’Brien, spokesman for Entergy, Pilgrim’s owner-operator, said the problem was related to one of three electrical cables that connect to the pump, and the electrical connection has been repaired.
