After 61 Years, U.S. Testing Site For Nuclear Weapons Still 10 Times More Radioactive Than Chernobyl: Radioactive contamination at the former nuclear weapons testing site of Bikini and Enewetak is still 10 times higher than in Chernobyl, 61 years after the last test. Now rising sea levels are threatening an unsafe nuclear waste repository.
