Russia Ships RPV Internals For Rooppur-1 :: The Independent Global Nuclear News Agency: AEM Technologies, part of Russian state nuclear corporation Rosatom's engineering division Atomenergomash, has manufactured and shipped the reactor pressure vessel internals for Unit 1 of the Rooppur nuclear power station under construction in Bangladesh.
Reactor internals are the major structures within the RPV. The primary function of the internals is to support the core, the control rod assemblies, the core support structure, and the reactor pressure vessel surveillance capsules.
